Why Wedding Dance lessons are well worth your time?
There are so many special aspects to your wedding day and it is important that none of them are overlooked. One special event that takes place on your wedding day is your wedding dance. This often includes more than one dance number though, such as a first dance, a daddy-daughter dance, a mother and son dance, a bridesmaid and bride dance, and a groom and groomsmen dance. While these dances don't have to look professional by any means, it is important that things go smoothly and that you each know what you are doing.
How Many Hours Do We Need? How Often?
It depends how good you want to become and how fast you learn. Similar to learning a sport or a new language, the more time you put into learning and practicing, the better you get. If you'd like to learn a fully choreographed dance, start as soon as you can. Our couples generally do 1 to 3 hours of dancing a week. To help you retain information, at least 1 hour a week is recommended.
Tips for Choosing Your Perfect Wedding Song?
Think of a a song that is meaningful to you both. Consider the tempo and discuss it with your partner: fun, fast-paced swing dance - Maybe not, if you're wearing a dress with a long ball gown skirt; something slow may be a better fit. Still not sure which song to choose? - No worries! Our instructors can help you with your choice.
Length of a Regular Lesson:
It is typically 60 minutes long. The last 5 minutes will be used for scheduling.
We’re engaged! When should we start Wedding dance lessons?
We suggest getting started with your wedding day dance lesson early, and how early—would depend on various factors (your background in physical activities/ dancing, natural coordination, musicality, availability to practice your new dance, patience. Try to start early, so you have enough time to gain confidence in your dance abilities. Our instructors will help you with every step creating a fun atmosphere, making the dance preparation easy and “special” for you! Making memories for life!
Rates for Private Lessons:
$80/hr to $90/hr depending on the number of hours purchased at a time. Our Introductory Wedding dance lesson is only $45/ half-hour lesson. During the lesson, you will meet with one of our dance instructors, discuss your needs and ideas for your first dance.
